Demanding Drivers Behind the ESG Movement

Orchard Ballroom 1-2

This presentation delves into the transformative power of leveraging Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles to enhance the work environment. By implementing initiatives such as green leases on a global scale and establishing a global ESG board, organizations can ensure alignment with ESG goals and foster sustainability.

Furthermore, the presentation highlights the commitment to injecting more Social and Governance elements into the office environment. This includes initiatives such as workplace transformation, the appointment of an ESG ambassador, and collaboration with landlords on green leases. Through these efforts, the goal is to create a work environment that not only prioritizes sustainability, but also promotes employee well-being and engagement, ultimately empowering individuals and enhancing overall workplace satisfaction.

Speaker: Lynn Baez, VP, Facilities and Workplace, McKesson

Lynn Baez is vice president, facilities and workplace for McKesson. She leads the strategic direction of McKesson’s facilities and operations, which encompass offices, clinical offices and distribution centers. She supports the McKesson vision to improve care in every setting — one product, one partner, one patient at a time.

Baez has a passion for inspiring fellowship and building bridges by collaborating with corporate ecosystems to solve complex workspace challenges, delivering the impossible and ensuring that vendor partners are operating as an extension of the entities she serves. She enjoys owning and managing large-scale projects and programs, and has thrived in complex, enigmatic areas of FM for more than 20 years. Key prior leadership positions within Google, Nokia, Ericsson, T-Mobile and Dr. Pepper Snapple Group helped shape her passion for this profession. Additionally, she has been engaged in several multinational FM leadership roles over her career.

A member of IFMA for more than 16 years, Baez served as IFMA’s first vice chair in 2023-24 and continues to volunteer as an IFMA chapter board member and committee chair. She served as IFMA’s second vice chair in 2017-18; but stepped down due to her then-new role at Google. During her term as second vice chair, she also chaired the Government Affairs and Finance Committees, and was board liaison to the Audit Committee and IFMA Foundation. She served a three-year term on IFMA’s Global Board of Directors from 2014-17. She earned her FMP® in 2011, and her SFP® in 2012. Baez was named an IFMA Fellow in 2022.
