  • Who's eligible? All existing tertiary students in Asia who are studying full time can form a team of 2 to 4 members to join. Please click on the link to register your interest for participation.
  • The top 3 teams selected will present at World Workplace Asia-Pacific on 23 July. Winners will be awarded onsite with the following prizes:

          1st Place - $2,000

          2nd Place - $1,500

          3rd Place - $1,000

          Most Popular Idea - $500

What is the World Workplace Asia-Pacific Student Challenge?

The World Workplace Asia-Pacific Student Challenge serves as a premier platform for exceptional tertiary students who are leaving their mark in the Asia-Pacific FM industry. Assemble a team of 2 to 4 members and express your interest by completing the form provided above. Upon acceptance, teams can proceed to submit their entries following the provided guidelines. The top 3 teams will have the opportunity to present on stage at World Workplace Asia-Pacific on July 23rd, with winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place announced thereafter. This is your chance to demonstrate your expertise and network with industry professionals—don't miss out on this invaluable opportunity.

What awards will be given to the winners?

The following prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners of the Student Challenge:

  • 1st Place - $2,000
  • 2nd Place - $1,500
  • 3rd Place - $1,000
Additionally, the team with the Most Popular Idea will be awarded $500. 
Who's eligible?

All full-time tertiary students currently studying in Asia are eligible to form a team comprising 2 to 4 members and participate in the challenge.

Student Challenge Theme

Numerous voices have cited technology as a disruptive force. ChatGPT? Robots? How might they contribute to the FM sector? In today's workplaces, robots and generative AI are collaborating with humans. Let's push the boundaries of our imagination and explore how FM could be revolutionized with the integration of robots and generative AI!

Submission Rules
  1. Create a concise video, no longer than 3 minutes, demonstrating how generative AI and robots seamlessly manage your campus.
  2. Submit a comprehensive write-up, limited to 5 pages, detailing your team's idea. Explain how generative AI and robots can support FM processes and staff members effectively.
  3. Share your video on either Instagram or TikTok by June 15, 2024, ensuring to include the hashtags #SIFMA #WorldWorkplaceAPAC #IFMA #FMFTW #FMTech.
  4. Prepare a professional presentation to deliver to the judging panel if your team is shortlisted.
Judging Criteria & Scoring

The judging criteria will be based on both the written and video submissions. Assessment will be made based on the clarity and quality of the written information and video illustration. The video shall not be longer than 3 minutes. The scores are as shown below. Successful candidates will be shortlisted for presentation.
